Investigations.
Gathering evidence about any third party or an organisational misconduct that has a working relationship with the victim company can be an extremely difficult exercise, as the party alleging fraud will have to assess the risks carefully as any accusation would have the potential of terminating corporate relationships. It those circumstances it may be wise to have the matter reviewed by appointing us to look at the facts and circumstances so that we can make recommendations on how to proceed.
Bribery Act
Although prosecutions are rare under the 2010 Bribery Act, and that such prosecution are reserved for the most serious offences and breaches. We can assist any organisation in complying with its obligations under the Bribery Act 2010 as we appreciate that compliance will enhance the organisation's reputation and its brand if policies and procedures can be produced and relied upon when marketing and winning contracts.
We can also assist in investigations both internal and external where employees and third parties have been involved in relationships where it is suspected that bribes were paid. This will give an organisation grounds for terminating its relationship with its employees or a third party, and depending on the seriousness may provide an opportunity of reporting the matter to the police. There will be important civil recovery implications where we can also assist.
We can advise and assist in implementing a wide organisational policy to comply with the Bribery Act and train members of staff and front line employees to deal with situations where they might encounter a bribery issue.
