Gph C v. VP.
Our client, a pharmacist, had been convicted of perjury. He had made false declarations on a court notice. After conviction, he was reported to the General Pharmaceutical Council and because his professional status, his fitness to practise had been questioned. We assisted our client with references and mitigation which persuaded the GphC not to disqualify him.
Re: C Pharmacies Limited.
We assisted our client regarding a fraud investigation so that evidence could be collected and prepared for presentation to the police. Our client was alleging fraud and dishonest behaviour about one of its pharmacists who had been fraudulently claiming commissions and submitting inflated invoices for work done.
Our client did not necessarily want police officers to attend at its head office and pharmacies located throughout the North West. It considered that a better approach was to instruct us to identify key pieces of evidence which could be preserved ready for a police investigation.
Also, our client wanted advice about its position and any possible impact on it during the disciplinary proceedings of the pharmacist in question.
